English
Korea’s heated floors (ondol) make winter extra cozy—people sit on warm floors, use electric pads, and choose cafés to dodge wind. In many English-speaking countries, homes rely on central heating and carpets, and some cities keep outdoor winter markets with hot drinks even in the cold—so Korea leans warm indoor comfort, while places like Germany or Canada lean bundled-up outdoors.
