A Day of Laughter and Connection: Our Latest Community Event
Last Saturday, Make A Circle hosted another fantastic community event, bringing together members from all our programs for a day of fun, food, and fellowship. The sun was shining, spirits were high, and the air was filled with the joyful chatter of diverse voices.
What We Did
The event kicked off with a series of ice-breaker games that quickly got everyone laughing and interacting. Newcomers and long-time members alike mingled, sharing stories and making new friends. We then enjoyed a delicious potluck lunch, featuring dishes from various cultures, truly embodying the multicultural spirit of Make A Circle.
In the afternoon, we organized a friendly scavenger hunt around Gwanggyo Lake Park, which encouraged teamwork and exploration. It was wonderful to see participants from different backgrounds collaborating and cheering each other on.
The Power of Connection
What stood out most was the genuine connection formed throughout the day. 'It's amazing how quickly you can feel at home here,' said one new member. 'I came to practice English, but I found a family.' This sentiment was echoed by many, highlighting the core mission of Make A Circle: to build bridges and foster belonging.
These events are crucial for strengthening our community bonds and providing a relaxed environment for language practice and cultural exchange. They remind us that learning a language is not just about words, but about connecting with people and understanding their worlds.
Looking Forward
We're already planning our next event, and we can't wait to see even more faces there! Keep an eye on our social media channels and the GGN Meetup page for announcements. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special. Your enthusiasm and participation are what make Make A Circle truly unique!
