Where Tradition Comes Alive

In the warm sunshine of a June day, we took a trip back in time to the Korean Folk Village. Despite a forecast of rain, the skies cleared for us, creating the perfect atmosphere to explore this incredible living museum.

Here, history wasn't behind glass; it was all around us. We walked through authentic *hanok* homes, imagining the lives of those who came before us. The day was filled with the sights and sounds of old Korea. We were captivated by the graceful, storytelling movements of the traditional fan dance and energized by the powerful, heart-pounding rhythms of *samulnori*.

One of the day's biggest highlights was playing a traditional game called *Subak Seori*. The field filled with laughter as our diverse group strategized and competed, the joy of the game instantly breaking down any cultural barriers. It was a powerful reminder that play and laughter are universal languages.

Experiencing the folk village as a community was what made the day truly special. Sharing in the wonder of the performances and the fun of the games created a deep sense of connection. It was more than a field trip; it was a shared journey into the heart of Korean culture, making us appreciate its living, breathing heritage all the more.
